Duetschland

We had excellent luck, got on our first flight, in business class, all together. I couldn't sleep at all, Merc and Joyce slept some. We arrived early even. We are staying with friends Jim and Christina, here are some pics around here, some of the sights in downtown Bamberg and also Memmelsdorf. This is a small town outside Bamberg where Merc used to play baseball and Jim still coaches. They made the field and started the team some 16 years ago. I wanted a picture of the field with the schloss in the background. They were called the Barons because of the castle in the background. It is really a schloss, which means it was the bishops party place (to put it nicer than it was explained to me) rather than a defensive castle with a drawbridge. It is called Schloss Seehof. There is a fish hatchery now outside it, that was part of our walk. On our walk this morning we saw two dogs owners introducing their dogs, it was fun to watch. Also, had to get a picture of this guy and the bikes and the carriage.
